I wholeheartedly congratulate the police corps for successfully identifying the gang of robbers responsible for the break-insin the Sliema area and the surrounding localities.

Over the past 12 to 18 months these break-ins were the cause of much pain and uncertainty to all those who suffered intrusion into their private property, as well as loss of cash and valuables. A most unwelcome experience.

I hope that, if found guilty, the presiding magistrate will mete out the maximum penalty allowed at law.

Hopefully such a level ofpunishment will deter others vying to adopt this ‘get-rich-quick’ behaviour.
