CAMILLERI. On September 14, at Mosta home for the elderly, PAUL of Qormi, widower of Benigna, née Micallef, aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Marthese and her husband Mario Cutajar, Silvio and his wife Frida, Christopher and his wife Connie, Vince, Deo, Nathalie, Alex and his wife Cheryl, and Marica and her husband Joe Bellizzi, his brothers Joe and Nenu, his grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, September 17 at 2.15pm for St George’s parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CASSAR. On September 12, on her 80th birthday, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELA, née Scerri of Naxxar, widow of Mikiel, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Romano and Caryl, Maudie and Russell McHardy, Ċensina Borg, Gina and Salvu Bugeja, Rita and Amante Bartolo, Roxanne, her 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, her sisters Pawla and Ġuża, her nephews and nieces, in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3pm for Naxxar parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at the Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. The family wish to thank the staff of Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, Roseville Home, Attard, and at Mater Dei Hospital. GAMBIN. On September 14, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, MARIA DOLORES of Sliema, widow of George, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved son Tony, her daughter Joann and her husband Johnny, her grandchildren Doyle and Jennifer, her beloved sisters Rose and Carmen, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, September 17 at 8.30am for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. OAKES. On September 14, ALAN, formerly of Mellieħa, aged 87, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his most beloved wife Marjorie, née Bath, his sons Robin and Glenn, his daughters-in-law Michelle and Anne, his grandchildren Benjamin, Zara and Nicola, other relatives and friends. Interment takes place on Thursday, September 17 at 9am at Sultana tal-Vitorji Cemetery, Mellieħa. Dear God may he rest in peace and time help us deal with our loss.

SAID. On September 13, at his residence in Kleve, Germany, LEO SAID, MD, formerly of Siġġiewi, aged 71, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gabriele, his son Stephen, his brothers and sisters and their families, and other relatives and friends. VELLA, on September 14, Anthony of Sliema and residing in Gzira, aged 89 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the Rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Josephine, his daughters Odette and her husband Philip, Jacqueline, Roberta and her husband Paul, his grandchildren Martina, Angela, Nicole, Greta, Jordan, Robert, Carolanne and Luca, his in laws, and all other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, at 7.45am, for Gzira Parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Addolorata Cemetry. VELLA. On September 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH (Tar-Ritratti) of Mosta, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his wife Maria, his children Ivan and his wife Mervin, Valerie and her husband Hilary, and Bertram and his wife Sandra, his grandchildren Joseph and Julia, Rachel, Anthea, Matthew, Thomas, and Francesca, his great-granddaughter Mianicol, his brother Charles, his sister Sr Maria Giovanna of the Sisters of Charity, his in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, September 17 at 3.15pm for St Mary’s parish church, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery.
