I have flown thousands of miles during my life, mainly serving asa medical officer in the British Army worldwide.

I feel rather uncomfortable about two occurrences on two planes which left Malta within the last few days.

One of those was an AirMalta flight and the other was a Ryanair flight.

They both had to return to Malta, since the baggage did not correspond with the number of passengers on board!

How on earth could the same mistake occur within a week of a similar one?

I’m sorry but there has to have been a horrific, and I stress horrific, lack of security somewhere down the line, which could have been fatal.

It needs to be investigated and the culprits punished accordingly.
