CASSAR. On September 12, on her 80th birthday, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELA, née Scerri of Naxxar, widow of Mikiel, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Romano and Caryl, Maudie and Russell McHardy, Ċensina Borg, Gina and Salvu Bugeja, Rita and Amante Bartolo, Roxanne, her 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, her sisters Pawla and Ġuża, her nephews and nieces, in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, September 16 at 3pm for Naxxar parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at the Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. The family wish to thank the staff of Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, Roseville Home, Attard, and at Mater Dei Hospital. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SAID. On September 13, at his residence in Kleve, Germany, LEO SAID, MD, formerly of Siġġiewi, aged 71, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gabriele, his son Stephen, his brothers and sisters and their families, and other relatives and friends. Details of the funeral to be held in Malta will be announced later. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
