THOMSON. Stephen and Eilidh announce the birth of their son – DANIEL STEPHEN, born on September 8, at the Borders General Hospital, Melrose, Scotland. A grandson for Douglas and Louise, Donald and Iona and first great-grandchild for Aldo and Lina Portelli and Stewart Thomson, Anne Cole and Eilidh’s grandmother, Mrs Thomson.

BORG. On September 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY, loving husband of Doris née Aquilina, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Mariella and her husband Anthony, Simone and her husband Louis and his son James and his wife Phyllis, his grandchildren Oriana and her husband Andrew, Matthew, Bernard, Adrienne and Alain, his brothers Frank and his wife Olwen, Joe and his wife Shiela, his sister Tessie and her husband Emmanuel, and Mary, wife of John, his late brother, many relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.15am for Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord grant him eternal rest.
SAMMUT. On September 11, VICTOR, aged 85, passed peacefully away in Sydney. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret, his children Anthony and Bettina, his brothers Julian, Godfrey and Austin and their families, his sisters Rose Hughes, Sarah and Rita and her husband Charles Mamo.
