Two courses on e-game programming and development will be organised from October to December by Malta University Consulting Ltd in collaboration with the University’s Institute of Digital Games. The sessions will be held at the latter’s computer lab on the Msida campus.

The course ‘Introduction to programming for games in Unity’ focuses on object oriented programming, starting with the most fundamental syntax rules and moving on to explain how to write programmes and scripts in the Unity integrated development environment.

The ‘Game Development in Unity’ course aims to demonstrate the basic concepts of game development and familiarise participants with the Unity interface. They will learn the main concepts and tools essential to work with this game engine via hands-on exercises.

The course tutor and co-ordinator is Marvin Zammit, managing director of a studio that develops indie games for the international market. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University.
