Giovanni Acanfora, the owner of Givova, the technical partners of the Malta FA, has visited the Malta squad ahead of tonight's Euro 2016 Group H qualifier against Italy.

Acanfora was greeted by Bjorn Vassallo, the general secretary of the MFA who is heading the Maltese delegation in Florence.

The Malta players and technical staff gathered for a commemorative picture with Acanfora in the quaint gardens of Villa Olmi Resort, the team's base in Florence.

In a short interview, Acanfora expressed his satisfaction at Givova's excellent relationship with the Malta FA, adding that his company always believed in the potential of Malta, not only in footballing terms but also as a country in general.

Holding a signed Malta shirt, Acanfora said that he will be supporting Malta in tonight's qualifier against Italy at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
