I refer to the letter by Margaret Camilleri Pace, about the filth in Sliema caused by pigeons.
Common sense would suggest that such issues are the responsibility of the local council. But to expect the council to act... forget it!
If there are simple issues like street furniture placed by restaurants and ice cream parlours on narrow pavements meant for use by the public, the law on which the council has failed to enforce, what chance is there that it takes action on pigeons?
