BENCINI. Suddenly, on August 25, at home, in Adelaide, Australia, Dr FRANCO BENCINI, Ph.C., MD, FRCOG, FRACOG, aged 88. Soul mate, beloved husband, best friend and incredible travel companion of Margaret; loving, generous and joyful father and father-in-law of Claire and Grant, Bernadette and Olivier, Angela and Rob; adored nannu of Kate and Charlotte; Axel, Kit and Lys; James and Francesca. He is also deeply mourned by his brother Dr Gerald, his nephews and nieces in Australia, the United Kingdom and Malta; and by a host of friends in Adelaide, other parts of Australia and Malta, his place of origin, with which he renewed his ties so many times. A funeral service is being held tomorrow at 11am at his local church, St Peter Claver’s, Dulwich, South Australia, and interment will later take place privately at 2.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Association of South Australia would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On August 28,THEO­DORA, aged 98, of Santa Venera, widow of Francis, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Vincent and his wife Doris, Liliana and her husband Raymond, Yolanda, and Monica and her husband Theodoros, her grand­children, great-grandchildren, her brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today for Santa Venera parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at the Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ELLUL. On August 30, MARCEL, aged 53, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Michelle, his father Joe, his sister Angele and her husband Lino Stafrace, other relatives and friends, especially Orsi. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Our Lady of Good Counsel chapel, St Julians, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ONIONS. On August 28, at Villa San Lawrenz, San Lawrenz, Gozo, ROBERT ARTHUR (‘Bob’) aged 69. Dearly loved and deeply missed by his wife Joanna, brothers Peter and Richard and his wife Diane, brother-in-law Roger Williams and his wife Anne, his lifelong best friend Chris Jones and his wife Karen, nephews Simon, Michael and his wife Claire, Edward and his partner Kate, and Matthew and his wife Caroline, nieces Amanda and her husband Chris, Kerry, Debbie and Lara, great-nephews, great-nieces, godchildren Wesley, Lucy and Ellie, other relatives, and many friends in Gozo and the UK. There will be no funeral as he donated his body to the University of Malta but a memorial event will be arranged in the near future.
