We have a home in Sicily and we adopt strays to give to Maltese families on a voluntary basis.

We always travel with Virtu Ferries and we bring over between five and 12 dogs every month. We have brought over about 73 dogs in total and they now have a happy home in Malta.

None of our dogs have ever had a problem on the Virtu ferry. We do ensure the dogs are clean, exercised and hydrated before we drive onto the ferry for the two-hour trip and, as instructed by the Virtu team on board, we open all the windows for ventilation.

The service we get from Virtu Ferries has never failed us or any of our puppy friends. The Virtu staff members on the ferry have always been extremely helpful and understanding about the dogs.
