Bayern Munich have completed the signing of French forward Kingsley Coman on a two-year loan deal from Juventus.

The France U-21 international, who appeared for his country at the Under-19 Championship in the summer, will spend the next two seasons in Munich before a decision will be taken over his future.

Bayern have secured themselves an option to make the move permanent in 2017 for a pre-agreed fee of 21 million euros. The Bundesliga club will pay a total of seven million euros for the two-year loan – five million up front and a further two million next summer.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in Munich for Bayern,” said Coman after he successfully passed a medical yesterday.

“I would like to take the next step in my playing career here and help Bayern Munich to be successful in these two years.”

Coman joined Juventus on a free transfer from Paris St Germain just a year ago and made his debut in their opening Serie A fixture last season, although he only then went on to feature 14 times in the league for the Bianconeri.

He came on for the final minute of Juve’s Champions League final defeat to Barcelona and had already caught Bayern’s eye.

“Kingsley Coman is one of the biggest upcoming players in European football,” said Bayern’s director of sport Matthias Sammer.

“That is why we’re very pleased that we have been able to sign him for Bayern. Kingsley is quick, technically endowed and an attacking player with whom we hope to have a great deal of pleasure.”
