The Qormi Wine Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday from 7.30pm to midnight.

Friday’s main attraction will be a three-hour Big Band Brothers concert.

The line-up on Saturday will include local duo Xarulu and the bands led by Vinny Vella and Mark Spiteri Lucas.

The wines on offer will include red, white and rose of several grape varieties, provided by Marsovin.

Wine stalls will be set up along Main Street, with St George’s parish church as a backdrop.

Food stalls featuring traditional Maltese cuisine will be available at €7 per dish.

Entrance to the festival is free.

Those wishing to drink the wines on offer should purchase a specially-designed souvenir wine glass for the price of €12, which will then be theirs to keep.

Wines will be served until 11.30pm.

Those under the age of 17 will not be served wine but may purchase other beverages.
