Bus drivers have objected to the new work rosters that were distributed yesterday, prompting the General Workers’ Union to request an urgent meeting with Malta Public Transport.

In a statement the union said that the schedules were not in line with those agreed upon a few days ago and insisted that the company stops the distribution of the rosters with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, the union instructed its shop stewards to collect rosters that had already been handed out.

The bus company declined to comment.
