Over 300 part-time courses are being offered by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology starting in Octo­ber, including eight new part-time degrees for the first time.

Lessons will be held in the evenings or on Saturday mornings. This is convenient for adults who cannot engage in full-time educational pro­grammes due to employment, business, family or other commitments, but still want to acquire skills and qualifications to secure new jobs, seek career advancement or simply to learn more about subjects that interest them.

Young students aged 16 and over can also take up these courses to support their full-time edu­cation with additional know­­ledge, skills and experiences.

The degree courses on offer for the first time on a part-time basis are Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) courses in electronics and control engi­neering and in mechanical engineering respectively, Bache­lor of Science (Hons) courses in environmental engineering, building services engineering, construction engineering, bank­ing practice and manage­ment and in software develop­ment respectively, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in photography.

Details of the courses are avail­able on the website below and in a booklet that has been posted to all homes and businesses in Malta.

It may also be obtained from local councils, the Mcast main campus in Paola or the Gozo campus in Għajnsielem.

Prospective students may apply for a course online or by filling in the printed application form and post­ing it to the Mcast main campus, or by handing it in between tomorrow and September 11, on weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm.
