Q: While on holiday, we paid for a particular excursion we couldn’t go on due to the traffic we found on the way. The travel agency accepted to give us a refund in the form of a credit note which we can use when we purchase another holiday from the same agency. Are we entitled to a cash refund instead of a credit note?

A: Since you couldn’t go to the excursion you paid for due to lack of proper organisation by the travel agency, you should not be obliged to accept a credit note and insist on a cash refund.

If the agency refuses to provide you with the refund, you may file a complaint with the Office for Consumer Affairs.
