ABELA. On August 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, of Sliema, aged 75, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Joe leaves to mourn his great loss his wife May, his brother John and wife Sylvia, his children and their spouses, Carmen and Claudio, Steve and Katya, Joanna and Godwin, Pierre and Kim, Caroline and Paul, his beloved grandchildren Chiara, Kristina, Keith, Kaya, Julia, Sara, Andrew, Martina, Cain, Sophie and Sebastian, together with in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.45am for St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the dedicated staff at Ward 2, Sir Paul Boffa Hospital and Surgical Ward 4, Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CHIRCOP. On August 26, Ing. GODFREY CHIRCOP (Process Manager, De La Rue), passed away suddenly at the age of 60. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his wife Lina, née Cutajar, his sons Mark and his wife Rebekah and Luke and his fiancée Yanika. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother Antoinette and all the Chircop brothers and sisters: Marie Therese, John, Victoria, Cecil, Aldo, Pierre, Ray, Antoine, Lucienne and Karl; the Cutajar brothers and sisters: Jeffrey, Godwin, Sheila, Lilian and Tania, and all their respective spouses, nephews and nieces as well as friends and colleagues. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 28 at 9.30am at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Targa. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, would be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. FARRUGIA. On August 30, ANGELA of Kirkop (former employee Social Security), aged 75, passed away suddenly. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sisters, Sr Carmen of Jerusalem, Leonard and Marianne, Clare, Ċettina and Antoine, Mary and Gaetano, Fr Joe Farrugia of Austria, Emmanuel and Annick of France, Charlie and Bernardette, her nephews and nieces, grand nieces, relatives and friends. FENECH. On August 25, at Villa Messina, Rabat, ISABELLE, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers Joe and his wife Miriam, Harry and his wife Lynne, and Frank and his wife Margaret, her sisters Vivienne, wife of Vanni Gingell Littlejohn, and Henrietta, wife of Joe Curmi, her numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Villa Messina tomorrow at 7.45am for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, St Julians, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (upper entrance).
