ABELA. On August 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, of Sliema, aged 75, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Joe leaves to mourn his great loss his wife May, his brother John and wife Sylvia, his children and their spouses Carmen and Claudio, Steve and Katya, Joanna and Godwin, Pierre and Kim, Caroline and Paul, his beloved grandchildren Chiara, Kristina, Keith, Kaya, Julia, Sara, Andrew, Martina, Cain, Sophie and Sebastian, together with in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.45am for St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. ATTARD. On August 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN (former Police Sergeant 412), of Żabbar, residing in Fgura, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his daughter Marisa and her husband Gino, his grandchildren Yanika and her fiancé Johann, Krissyl, his brother Paul and his wife Vivienne, Carmena, widow of his brother Ġużi, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for Fgura parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Żabbar cemetery. FENECH. On August 25, at Villa Messina, Rabat, ISABELLE, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers Joe and his wife Miriam, Harry and his wife Lynne, and Frank and his wife Margaret, her sisters Vivienne, wife of Vanni Gingell Littlejohn, and Henrietta, wife of Joe Curmi, her numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Villa Messina on Thursday, August 27 at 7.45am for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, St Julians, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (upper entrance). LOFARO. On August 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELINE née Agius of Birkirkara, aged 78, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Charles, her daughters Mirelle and her husband Raymond Spiteri, Valerie and her partner Henry Salomone and Stephanie and her husband Anthony Cutajar, her grandchildren Neville, Emma, Nicholas, Bernard, Mark, Marija and Manwel, her brothers and sister, in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 2.30pm at St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
