Alan Bates, who has made a name for himself through hypnotherapy and live TV performances, will be signing his recently launched autobiography Wide Awake at Chaucer’s book shop, Bay Street on Saturday from noon.

This will be an opportunity for the public to meet Bates and learn more about this fascinating personality.

In Wide Awake we first meet Bates as a young English schoolboy with just one aim in life – to have as much fun as humanly possible and at whatever the cost. From virtually no qualifications and no future to discovering his talents as an entertainer, we watch as his life takes an upward trajectory that takes him around the world, dining with royalty, ambassadors and high commissioners, even afternoon tea with the President of Malta.

Bates visits Malta every month and holds private and group sessions dealing with smoking, weight issues, stress and anxiety, phobias, traumas and relationship issues.
