GALEA. On July 31, at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, DOROTHY, aged 71, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Charles (ex-Air Malta), her daughter Sarah, her husband Ali, her son John, his wife Tamara, her grandchildren Kiana and Kaveh, her brother Lino and wife Doris, her sister Miriam and husband Charles, and Emily, widow of her brother Reggie, in-laws Morris and Eileen, relatives and friends. The funeral rites were administered on August 6 at Assumption Catholic cemetery, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Lord, grant her eternal peace.
LEE. On August 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, RONALD JAMES, of Sliema, aged 82, passed peacefully away after a long illness. He leaves to mourn his loss around the world his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. There will be no funeral as his body has been donated to the University of Malta for medical research. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On August 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA of Mellieħa, passed peacefully away at the age of 79, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Sr Victoria Vella of the Order of the Beata Vergine, John and his wife Janet, Doris and her husband John, Manuel and his wife Rose, Joe and his wife Silvana, Catherine and her husband Gino, Conrad, widower of her daughter Marlene, Sylvana and her husband George, and Rita, her grandchildren Marisa, Keith, Stephanie, Maria, Jacob, Shaun, and Robert, her great-grandchildren Neil, Luke, and Emilia, her brothers, sisters and their families, her in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for the Nativity of the Virgin Mary parish church, Mellieħa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at Omm il-Ħniena cemetery, Mellieħa. No flowers by request but donations to Life Cycle and Renal Unit, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
