Esperjenza Unika, Love, a novel targetting adolescents, is told through the eyes of the narrator, thus putting the reader in close proximity to the happenings, including mobile messages, Facebook chats and Ask.Fm.

The novel is remarkable in the way it intimately presents the protagonists’ inner thoughts. There’s Elisa, Marco, Ruth and Robert, aged between 14 and 16, each one of them with different personalities,feelings and experiences. The book probes the new emotions that come with adolescence, together with social relationships that are so crucial in the lives of youngsters.

For the protagonists, the summer holidays always bring with them the same events. Elisa shies away from Robert and Marco; Marco feels embarrassed in front of Elisa and Ruth; Ruth is, in turn, embarrassed whenever she sees Marco, while Robert is intimidated by Elisa. However, this summer things are going to get a bit complicated not only because of the new sexual attractions which the protagonists are starting to experience, but also thanks to a newcomer, Sabrina, who enters the picture mid-summer.

Sabrina raises a lot of questions, emotions, doubts and thoughts in the minds of the protagonists.

In short, she turns their world upside down.
