The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has launched  its "Kounotori" HTV-5 cargo craft to the International Space Station.

The cargo ship is expected to deliver more than 4.5 tons of supplies, including water, spare parts, and experiment hardware.

The journey from the Tanegashima Space Center, located along the southeast coast of Tanegashima, to the ISS will take five days.

The space ship's launch had previously been delayed twice due to poor weather conditions.
