I read with interest the letter (August 7) complaining that two angel statues had been left in the road waiting to be hoisted up onto their pedestals, in the process causing a massive traffic jam within St Paul’s Bay.

I noted that the correspondent was driving back home from Paradise Bay to Swieqi in the early evening and rightly complained: “Does anyone care about the residents inhaling the fumes of hundreds of idle cars?”

With the greatest respect, perhaps the correspondent should refrain from using the route through St Paul’s Bay and instead drive through the purposely-built St Paul’s Bay bypass, thereby helping to cut these exhaust emissions.
