I was visiting Amsterdam with friends during these past weeks and as soon as I heard about Paradiso I knew I wanted to visit. I mean, it’s a club… inside a church. Need I say more?
Joking apart, it’s not just that the venue itself is really wicked – the music is pretty cool too. On the night I was there we had a lot of old-school hip-hop, 1990s classics and some Michael Jackson. There wasn’t a particular event on, it was just a regular DJ night. And by regular, I mean awesome.
There were many posters outside advertising upcoming gigs and themed nights, so anyone who is looking for that something different should definitely take a look at the online schedule.
It’s not cheap to get into – I paid €10, but it was totally worth every penny and I’d pay it again to go again.

Another big plus is that the place is very easy to get to. It’s located just off Leiseplein, which is one of the main squares with very good transport connections.
I was there on a Friday night and, judging by the crowd, it was the night to be there.
