Anarchy does not lead to democracy. The suggested removal from the penal codes of any vilification of religions is a retrograde step and should be re-examined in detail. There should always be some control, even if this is only nominal.

I would not have bothered to write if the vilification clause included not just religions but any other person in authority.

Does it mean that one can vilify God Almighty, the Virgin Mary, saints and prophets but at the same time cannot pass any disparaging remarks against the President of the Republic or any other politician?

If this would be the case, then we shall go back to the Roman Caesars who claimed to be gods. Irrespective of the rank and status, no human being can ever be above God Almighty. Is this the future of our country? An amoral society is not equivalent to democracy!

We must be very careful about the removal of ethics and morals from our society. The vilification, mainly of the Christian faith will not lead to democracy.

When Christianity (or any other religion) is ignored, this will create a very dangerous vacuum. Nature does not allow a vacuum to exist and will soon fill the empty space.

Independent of atheists or agnostics, religion is an integral part of the majority of humanity.

Which religion, or extreme movement, will fill the void, the vacuum, created by the so-called democracy? Is there some hidden agenda to introduce an obsolete and barbaric religion? We have seen horrible instances in other countries. Do we want to succumb to extremists and terrorists who are ready to indoctrinate naive youths deprived of any ethics and morals?
