Insurance company MSV Life has become a patron of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation.

The foundation was set up by Bank of Valletta and world-renowned tenor Joseph Calleja two years ago with the objective of supporting talented young people to realise their full potential in the performing arts.

In the short time since it was set up, the foundation has supported a number of Malta’s most gifted young artists to further their studies and develop their talents. It recently launched the ‘Growing through arts’ programme, which seeks to mobilise the therapeutical power of art as a means to reach out to underprivileged children, helping them come to terms with emotions and circumstances they might otherwise find it hard to express in their social background.

A spokesman for MSV Life said: “Our company is renowned for its commitment to bringing arts and culture to everyone and to supporting the pillars of what keeps a healthy society thriving – from supporting vulnerable individuals to encouraging the development of sport, culture and the arts for an all-round well-being.”
