The wording of the Transport Malta sign is in fact in proper English and is taken verbatim from the British Highway Code.

Limited parking signs or disc zones are common in residential areas and the message is necessarily telegraphic.

The essence is that after the lapse of the permitted parking period, usually 150 minutes, the vehicle may not be brought back to the same spot before the lapse of a period, usually 90 minutes.

This is to prevent hogging of the limited parking available or switching of car parking bays between friends.
