A man who works on a tourist ferry boat was today charged with the aggravated possession of cocaine and cocaine trafficking.

Terence Micallef, 24, from Birzebbuga, was charged with the possession of nine grams of cocaine found in circumstances denoting it was not for his exclusive use. He was also charged with trafficking the drug and relapsing.

Before Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona, Mr Micallef pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. He was granted bail against a €1,000 deposit and a €4,000 personal guarantee.

Police Inspector Gabriel Micallef prosecuted while lawyer Edward Gatt appeared for the man.
