I was travelling to Poland to attend my best friend’s wedding and, since it was my travelling buddy’s first time visiting this country, I wanted to make it a bit special. Both Amanda and I enjoy adventures, so my goal was to find an interactive activity as opposed to a static site visit.

Thanks to TripAdvisor, I stumbled upon Lost Souls Alley. We also happen to be into paranormal activity and things related to horror. It gives us more than just an adrenaline rush.

Lost Souls Alley fit the bill because it is an interactive museum devoted to the basic instinct of fear with an entire floor inspired by horror and thriller movies. The best thing is that in order to proceed from one room to another you need to find keys or crack codes to unlock doors. If you’re not quick enough, you suddenly find yourself being chased by well-known characters from horror films. I head the big guy from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the girl from The Ring chasing after me at one point.

Coming face to face with some specimen from The Walking Dead did elicit some screams

Participants – we were accompanied by three young Polish girls – are given a stipulated amount of time to reach the end and each room is set up differently. Everything is in darkness. The only source of light being a torch handed to us right before the venture.

Amanda and I had a good laugh thanks to the other girls who, at one point, were so eager to get out that they got stuck trying to make their way out all together through a small door.

Some of the participants couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Some of the participants couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Though I have to admit coming face to face with some specimen from The Walking Dead did elicit some screams from me too! To be honest, I doubt this attraction is suitable for children or young teenagers, unless their parents are okay coping with nightmares for years to come!

The attraction is very popular, so a reservation is needed. I’d give it nine points out of 10, because not only was it fun, but the staff were also very friendly, efficient and spoke good English. Maybe it could last a little longer – we thought 20 minutes to be on the short side.
