I am very grateful to the Mission Fund, of Mosta, for sending me €2,000 to help me with the printing of religious books in the tribal Santal language and €500 for Mass intentions. Both donations are very much appreciated.

I have just reprinted the 12th edition (20,000 copies) of Nawa Rar Puthi, which consists of 208 pages containing 40 new hymns composed by the editor, Fr Peter Marandi SJ, a Santal.

When I have enough money to pay the press, I shall reprint the prayer book Koejon Puthi, which is also very much in demand. These and other religious books are offered to low-income Catholics, mostly farmers, at prices they can afford. You will be pleased to know that these books reach a number of dioceses with a Santal population like Asansol, Bhagalpur, Dumka, Raiganj, Purnea, Hazaribag and Bongaigaon.

I also appreciate receiving Mass intentions since we rarely get them here.

On my part, I can assure all collaborators and benefactors of the Mission Fund of my prayers and sacrifices and also those of the beneficiaries themselves, our dear Santal people.

I ask the public to send to the Mission Fund in Mosta used stamps and donations.
