Last May, in the wake of a report about so many Maltese families living below the bread line, I had suggested that a fund be set up to which the highly-paid government consultants and advisers can contribute to help poor families.

So far, there has been no reaction at all to my suggestion, not even from that prolific writer to the Times of Malta, Eddy Privitera.

I wonder why considering it is such a just cause.
