Swimming at Dawret it-Tunnara in the vicinity of the Ghajn Zejtuna boathouses in Ghadira is again allowed as the drainage system has been repaired.

The Environmental Health Directorate said repeated sampling of seawater has been carried out daily and the area was found to be safe for bathing.

The health warning was as a result being lifted and signs warning the people against swimming the area would be removed in the next hours.

Swimming in the area of the dog friendly beach in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq was still not recommended due to sewage overflow.
