Two Libyan men were arrested this morning after they were found in possession of several stolen goods and cash.

The police said the St Julian's police station was informed that foreigners were seen robbing people along St George’s Bay early this morning.

They searched the area and the men were apprehended at 3.15am.

They were spotted sitting on the sand beside a white cap containing a number of items. Their behaviour when questioned by the police parked suspicion.

A woman nearby also approached the officers and claimed that a mobile phone in the cap belonged to her.
