A massive stand storm in Amman, Jordan disrupted air traffic in and out of the country.

The country has also been hit by very hot weather.

Jordan's Meteorological Department said temperatures were as high as 43 degrees Celsius in the southern city of Aqaba yesterday and today.

Much of the rest of the Middle East is also sweltering.

Late last week, the Iraqi government declared a four-day holiday due to the extreme heat.
