Mapfre Middlesea plc has launched ‘Max Protect’ a new insurance product that incorporates three covers in one. These covers are funeral expenses, personal accident and an optional annual travel insurance.

Funerals can cost thousands of euros, but with a funeral expenses insurance these expenses are taken care of, while all preparations are coordinated by Mapfre Middlesea.

A personal accident cover helps protect individuals and their families from financial hardship if the insured suffers a serious injury in an accident. The policy provides financial assistance in case the insured suffers permanent total or partial disablement or temporary total disablement. Such cases may include loss of one or more limbs or one or both eyes.

Furthermore, one may include any of the three available optional coverages for travel insurance. This section covers the insured and dependents for trips, each lasting up to a maximum of 180 days, in case of cancellation, abandonment, emergency, hospital expenses, delays, missed departures, hijack, loss of personal money, belongings and travel documents, rental vehicle excess and liability to others.

The policy is renewable on an annual basis, with the personal accident and travel covers remaining in force until the insured reaches 75 years of age, and the funeral element lasting till death.

Keith Mallia Milanes, assistant general manager at Mapfre Middlesea said: “We believe that the most valuable thing that clients need from us is peace of mind. That is why our range of products offer protection of assets, liabilities, health, leisure and safeguarding the future.”
