Maltese athletes taking part in the Special Olympics World Games 2015 in Los Angeles have, so far, won a gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

The gold medal was won by Christabel Borg (table tennis), silver went to Klara Zammit (400 metres freestyle) and Mark Agius (bocce), bronze to Ms Zammit (1,500 metres freestyle) and Philip Gruppetta and Natasha Bianchi (mixed doubles bowling).

A total of 22 athletes from six disciplines are representing Malta in the games, which end on Sunday.
