The trailer of Michael Bay’s film “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” has been released by Paramount Pictures.

Filmed in Malta, the American action thriller tells the story of six members of the security team who fought to defend the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi when it came under attack in 2013.

The film is based on the book by Mitchell Zuckoff.

Most of the filming took place in Mosta. Other locations included Valletta, Corradino and Manoel Island. The filming resulted in direct injection of around $50 million in the Maltese economy.

It is expected to be released on January 15, 2016.
