A film co-production agreement has been signed between Malta and China in Beijing follow-ing negotiations led by the Maltese Embassy in China and the Malta Film Commission.

The agreement will pave the way for further collaboration with China and open up new op-portunities for Maltese filmmakers and the film servicing industry.

China has the fastest growing movie market in the world and the Malta Film Commission has been increasing its initiatives aimed at attracting interest from Chinese production companies including through the participation in the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (Filmart).
