No need to comment on the efficiency of the new transport operators! Having applied for a card in March, I am still waiting for it to arrive. Numerous phone calls got these answers in this order: I shall report the matter; you will getthe card within a week; your ID number does not appear in our system; you will get the card within three days; it is in the post; I shall ask them to treat the matter with urgency. The latest was: the card has not been sent because the photograph does not register on the card.

What does one do? A visit to the Valletta station resulted in my being turned away at 4.25pm – because the booth closed at 5pm! Are they trying to make me give up?
