The Swieqi United FC Under-17 squad travelled to Kazanlak, Bulgaria, earlier this month for a seven-day training camp.
Fourteen players and four coaches joined the trip which was coordinated by Swieqi academy director Andrea Vella and Rosen Filipov, a former Attard FC player.
The quarters where the Swieqi players resided included a synthetic football pitch, two tennis courts and an outdoor volleyball court.
This gave the Swieqi boys the opportunity to practice any time of the day and also engage in other sporting activities during training breaks.
Three friendlies were also played against teams from the Filipov Football School, FC Tryavna and Rozova Dolina.
Apart from the football bit, the Swieqi U-17s spent some time sightseeing including a mountain trip to the Shipka Pass after touring the cities of Kazanlak, Gabrovo and StaraZagora.
Pre-season training in various categories at the Swieqi academy has already started.
