DAUPHINAIS – ALEXIA VICTORIA. Born to Francesca née Amato Gauci and Jeff, at South Lake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, on July 7. Big sister Emma excited with baby, as are doting grandparents David and Nonie Dauphinais and Victoria Amato Gauci. Thank God and His Holy Mother for this added blessing.

ALBAN-DAVIES. On July 20, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, DOROTHY MAY, née Dyke, known as Mrs Davies, of Ta’ Xbiex seafront, passed peacefully away, aged 96. Sadly mourned and missed by her family and friends. There will be a remembrance reflection service within the following months. A notification of the place and time will be announced. May God bless her and grant her eternal peace and rest.

BELLIZZI. On July 24, at St Catherine’s Home, Attard, HENRY JOSEPH, aged 92, died peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Isabella née Lucia, his daughters Marie-Claire, wife of Daniel Kaminski, and Anna, wife of Mario Micallef; his grandchildren Fr Stefan, Francesca and her husband Rhys, Marie-Isabelle; his sister Elda Vella Galea; nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Catherine’s Home tomorrow at 8.30am for Attard parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clares will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest. CIAPPARA. On July 20, at her home in Northampton, England, GRACE, née Degabriele, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her husband, Dr Joseph Ciappara, children and grandchildren. Loving memories from family and friends in Malta and England. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FAIRCLOUGH. On July 22, SYLVIA, passed peacefully away at home, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Violet, Graham, Beatrice and Fr Trevor, her grandchildren David and Patrick, their spouses, as well as Nicholas and Stella, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be said tomorrow at 3pm at Gudja parish church, followed by interment at Gudja cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GAUCI. On July 20, BERTU, born on May 7, 1921, widower of Concetta, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Fr Bert Gauci, OFM, missionary in Honduras, Salvu and his wife Carmen, Ronnie and his wife Cynthia, Mary and her husband Charles, and Martin and his wife Theresa, his grandchildren and other relatives, and friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 3pm at Għargħur parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Għargħur cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Missions in Honduras will be appreciated. Special thanks go to the administration, nurses and care workers of Naxxar Holy Family Home for the Elderly.

HASLETT – HARVEY EDWARD, 88, died on June 12. He was born on May 26, 1927. Harvey was preceded in death by his father, Carl Haslett; mother, Elizabeth Haslett; brother, Byard Haslett and sister, Mary Haslett, all from Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wadge Haslett of Battle Ground; sons John Whitney Haslett of Battle Ground and Roger William Haslett of Vancouver and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Berg of Battle Ground. He had four grand­children. Layne’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A graveside service was held on June 19 at Crawford Cemetery in Battle Ground.

MALLIA. On July 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, CONNIE, aged 87, widow of Dominic, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marthese, Rose, Joseph, Carmen, Veronika, Virginia, William, John and Jacqueline and their spouses; grandchildren, great-granchildren; sister Josephine, brother-in-law Lawrence and his wife Jessie, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 4pm for St Augustine church Tarxien, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4.30pm followed by interment at Tarxien Cemetery. MICALLEF. On July 24, at Karin Grech Hospital, Maria, aged 92, widow of Edmond W., passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children, Philip and Maria, David and Rose, Sandra and Charles Vassallo, Bobby and Vikki, Chris and Charlaine; her adored grandchildren, Mark and Corinne, Daniela and Tonio, Ivan and Lauren, Alan and Roberta, Kristina and Ben, Petra and Romain, Sarah, Lana, Lisa and Kurt and Steven; her great-grandchildren, Ben, Timmy, Hannah, Millie and Matteo; her sisters Sina Marsh and Karmen Naudi; her sisters-in-law Aida Azzopardi and Elda, wife of Dr Alfred Bonnici, numerous relatives and friends. Special thanks to the carers at Roseville Home. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital on Tuesday at 2pm for Balzan parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PIZZUTO. On July 25, MOYRA, aged 66, of Santa Venera, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved nephew Ernest Edward Azzopardi and his girlfriend Marvic, her brother-in-law John Azzopardi, widower of Madeleine, and Antonia, Margaret Rizzo, Nadya Mifsud, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be held tomorrow at 3pm at Santa Venera parish church followed by interment at Santa Maria Adolorata Cemetery.
