Opel remains on a successful course in Europe. According to the preliminary numbers for June 2015, new car registrations increased by more than 9,800 vehicles compared to the same month last year (an increase of nine per cent), resulting in new registrations of 118,600 (6.35 per cent market share).

Opel’s results for the first six months of 2015 were also positive. From January to June, the carmaker sold 582,300 vehicles (up three per cent), around 18,400 units more than in the same period of 2014 (equivalent to a slightly improved market share of 5.9 per cent). In the first half of 2015, Opel registered an increase in registrations in Germany (up two per cent), the UK (up four per cent), France (up seven per cent), Spain (up 18 per cent), Italy (up 17 per cent), Portugal (up 21 per cent), Poland (up 20 per cent) and Turkey (up 36 per cent). The brand registered an increase of market shares in over 13 European markets.

The Mokka once again led the way for the passenger car portfolio with an increase of more than 20,000 units (28 per cent). Corsa registrations were up by around 18,000 units (12 per cent), followed by the Adam with more than 2,500 units (nine per cent).

Opel was extremely successful with its LCV portfolio from January to June 2015. Registrations rose by 25 per cent to 51,500 units. The market share increased by 0.56 percentage points to 4.03 per cent.

All three LCV lines recorded an increase in volume with the Movano up by 34 per cent, the Vivaro by 27 per cent and the Combo by 15 per cent.
