Health and care solution Scope (Safely communicating health observations in a productive and efficient way), enabling individuals to conduct routine medical tests and instantly capture the reading electronically through health-monitoring devices, was launched by emCare during an event at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.

The event, called Saħħtek, was organised by Atlas Insurance.

Scope also analyses a person’s medical readings in relation to medical thresholds and serves as an alert for doctors and family members.

In such cases, Scope generates an emergency report containing all necessary information for admissions to hospital at the touch of a button, if required.

The Blood Glucose Meter accompanying Scope helps users analyse their progress in achieving overall treatment goals, understanding how diet and exercise affect their blood sugar levels, how other factors like illness or stress affect blood sugar levels, monitoring the effect of diabetes medications on blood sugar levels and identifying blood sugar levels that are dangerously high or low.

Since Saħħtek aims to determine the proportion of people suffering from diabetes, hypertension, lack of physical activity, hyperlipidaemia and obesity, the event served as an opportunity for emCare to help raise awareness about the importance of using the latest technology for the generation of accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
