The 2014-15 season, organised by the Malta Table Football Sport Association, came to a close recently with Valletta Subbuteo Club again scooping most of the honours at stake to retain their number one status in the country.

The City team won the National League and knock-out tournament. They crowned their season with another triumph in the international Grand Prix of Malta tournament.

All three titles were won in convincing style. In fact, Valletta were unbeaten on their way to claiming the Triple Crown.

In singles, Valletta SC’s Samuel Bartolo was crowned Malta champion for the fourth year running.

He topped the Premier Division standings with an impressive haul of points – dropping only four from a possible 66. He was unbeaten throughout the competition.

Bartolo also won the Challenge Cup and the Grand Prix of Malta Open. Last season, he reached the final of the MTFSA knock-out tournament.

Young Valletta SC player Andrew Abela struck success in the U-19s, winning the national title in his last showing in the category.

Abela also won the International Open and the Grand Prix, both played in Malta earlier this year.

Jason Pisani, another Valletta SC player, claimed the Malta title for veterans last season.
