The Old Motors Club celebrated its 25th anniversary at an event hosted by the Farsons Brewery in Mrieħel.

More than 50 classic cars took part in the event, which consisted of a Sunday morning run, starting from the new clubhouse on the outskirts of Mosta.

Driving through the still green countryside, the long convoy of old vehicles made its way through Rabat, Dingli, Siġġiewi, Żebbuġ and Attard before finally meeting at the brewery.

Occupying the open space surrounding the old brewery area in an impromptu static show, the car owners could, for the first time in a club event, leave their beloved vehicles on their own and make their way to the reception area, where they could enjoy traditional hospitality with their minds at rest.

For a couple of hours, the classic car connoisseurs could identify with another classic product, Farsons’ Blue Label beer.

This was not the first time that old motoring vehicles met their classic match at Farsons. Way back in 1985, the Collectors Vehicle Club, from which the present Old Motors Cub evolved, also earmarked the brewery to organise one of the first old motoring festivals ever held locally.
