Preparations are well under way for the seventh MiGS, with the organisers promising “the strongest programme and an exceptionally strong speaker line up”.

The Malta iGaming Seminar (MiGS) will be hosted at The Corinthia Hotel, St Julian’s, from November 16 to 19.

The event attracts high-level attendees from many of the top operators and suppliers, and will again comprise conference sessions as well as networking events.

Seminar discussions will span topics that include areas of potential growth like mobile gaming and eSports, balanced with other that take a more analytical look at challenges that hinder and opportunities that attract robust investment in the sector.

A session will touch on the recent match-fixing news

A session that is poised to do some of both is titled Sport and Betting: Working as One Team to Safeguard Mutual Survival, which will touch on the most recent match-fixing news.

The panel to address this topic will include officials with the International Olympic Committee, the Italian Police/Interpol, the Maltese Football Association, the Malta Gaming Authority and a former footballer and current ESPN commentator, among others yet to be confirmed.

Emerging jurisdictions working on or rolling out regulatory frameworks in their respective countries are put in focus in one of two IMGL Master Class sessions on the event agenda.  Another IMGL Master Class will look at the new Anti-Money Laundering and VAT directives.
