More than 500 children benefited from the work of Save-A-Life Foundation in its first two years of Operations, MP Claudio Grech said this morning as he presented the foundation’s financial report to Speaker Anglu Farrugia.

The foundation, which is funded by Mr Grech’s honoraria, works with organisations in the first district to create opportunities for the development of children and young people's abilities.

Accepting the report, Dr Farrugia said it was an honour for him to have an MP donating his honoraria for such beneficial projects.

The main projects implemented by the foundation are a digital interactive class at the Valletta Primary, improved in the infrastructure of the Hamrun Spartans nursery, the creation of a digital music academy in Floriana and a centre for cultural training in Valletta.

A number of other projects were currently underway.

By the end of last year, Mr Grech had passed on €28,721 to the foundation.
