The break-in was discovered this morning. A number of computers and a crowbar were found on the roof of the building.

The commissioner initially confirmed the break-in and theft of files, but referred questions to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Office later said no files were missing.

In a statement, the police said the burglary may have been disrupted when constables from the Rapid Intervention Unit went to the area after neighbours reported hearing suspicious noise at about 11.30pm.   w
