An Armenian team that was bundled out of the Europa League by Birkirkara has dismissed nearly all of its players other than the goalkeeper.

Ulisses FC said it was building a new team after being knocked out in the first qualifying round when it lost home to Birkirkara last week.

“After losing in the UEFA Europe qualification round some critical changes are going to be done,” the club said.

“It is already clear that except for the goalkeeper Arsen Beglaryan the main players of the team will not play in the Armenian Premier League,” it added.

Irakli Chezhia, Irakli Geperidze, Levan Dzharkava, Ivan Mamakhanov, Zamir Dzhanashia, Rade Dugalic, Konstantin Morozov, Artak Aleksanyan, Davit Khurtsidze and Nika Piliev have “terminated their contracts” and become players of Torpedo Armavir.

Joel Tshibamba and Igor Paderin are also no longer in the team.

The team said it is seeking new players and will continue to feature in the domestic league.
