Fondazzjoni U (Xandir Soċjo Reliġjuż) founder and director Fr John Farrugia thanked those who have contributed towards the marathon held in aid of the missions – to provide clean water and electricity to the poorest of the poor in Africa and Asia by means of lifesaver jerrycans and the generator project for the provision of electricity.

Forty-five lifesaver jerrycans will be sent to Kenya and to other missionary countries shortly.

The aim of the marathon was to save lives of people from chronic diseases and even death, especially vulnerable people like babies, children and the elderly.

Over € 88,000 were also collected during the marathon.

The next marathon, in aid of the Ghana Mission Foundation, Order of Charity and Sisters of Charity, will take place on September 11, 12 and 13.

Those wishing to volunteer can call 7920 8456.
