Malta University Consulting Ltd is offering a course on dementia caregiving in the community. Scheduled to start in September, the course will consist of six afternoon sessions which will take place at the University Residence, Robert Mifsud Bonnici Street, Lija.

The course is designed to provide caregivers, including family members, with the basic knowledge and skills to care for people with dementia at home. The sessions will be delivered in Maltese.

Course coordinator is Charles Scerri, one of the co-founders of the Malta Dementia Society and currently general secretary.

Dr Scerri publishes extensively in the field of dementia and recently authored the national dementia strategy ‘Empowering change – a national dementia strategy in the Maltese Islands 2015-2023’.
